AMAZONIA.jpg

Description

The work is inspired by the Amazon forest, and is structured in three movements without pause. The first movement (The great jungle), tries to depict the greatness of the forest, his intricate vegetation, the tribes and its destruction by man's hands. The second moment (The river's tears) is based on a local legend about the creation of the Amazon river, which tells that the Moon and the Sound were in love but they weren't able to see each other, so the Moon cry and cry, and her tears become in the river. Finally, the third movement (The Icamiabas), describes a battle between this women-only tribe and  the Spanish army during the XVI century.
